As for the Quad-Cities, the only one I know of is the metro area consisting of Bettendorff and Davenport, Iowa and Moline and Rock Island, Illinois. None of the four predominate, though Davenport is by some degree the largest of the group.
There are probably a number of "Tri-Cities" but the two I hear of the most are in Tennessee (Bristol/Kingsport/Johnson City) and Washington State (Richland/Kennewick/Pasco). There may be others.Zoae N Scharold was good enough to send me the following:
I am a resident from the Tri-Cities in Washington State. I would like to inform you that the Tri-Cities consist of Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland WA. They are three separate cities with their own mayors and city halls.Another set of Tri-Cities are Florence, Sheffield, and Tuscumbia in Alabama.

I should point out that there are a number of "Tri-State Regions" depending on where you are. In New York City, it is the region where Connecticut, New Jersey and New York State meet, while in Philadelphia it is where Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania meet, and in Mobile it is that part of Alabama which lies between Florida and Mississippi; there are undoubtedly others.By the way, I have never heard the Four Corners referred to as the Quad-State Region.
