Badlands in the USA
Badlands are eroded areas of exposed rock formations, making passage through them extremely difficult.
In the USA there are areas of badlands in the western parts of both North Dakota and South Dakota, and also in northwestern Nebraska.
Parks where Badlands can be seen include the following:
- Badlands National Park in southwestern South Dakota.
- Parts of Theodore Roosevelt National Park in western North Dakota.
- Toadstool State Park in northwestern Nebraska.
