Canyon, Randall County, Texas

Location

This page is about the town of Canyon in Randall County, Texas. There is another town called Canyon near Lubbock, Texas and also a town called Canyon City near San Antonio, Texas.

Canyon is in the Texas Panhandle, about seventeen miles south of Amarillo. From Amarillo, take I-27 South. If you are approaching the town from the west on US60, be sure to take an exit before the divided highway which leads into I-27, otherwise you will have to proceed to the next Interstate exit and turn around.

Description

Canyon is a very pleasant small to medium sized town with a good range of facilities for visitors. In particular it has a large number of restaurants for a town of its size. There are some motels on US87 south of town.

We were particularly impressed by the friendliness of the service we received from various businesses when we visited this town.
