Custer State Park, Black Hills, South Dakota

Location

In the southeast of the Black Hills region of South Dakota. South Dakota State Highways 36 and 87 run through the park.

Description

As well as a herd of buffalo roaming wild in this fairly large park, there are various other sights such as the Needles Highway, Sylvan Lake and a prairie dog town. At least one full day is needed, possibly more, to see all that this park has to offer.
