Teton Pass, Wyoming and the Nearby Area of Idaho

Location

The Teton Pass, Wyoming State Highway 22, runs west from Jackson, Wyoming into Idaho.

Description

The Teton Pass, although relatively short, is very scenic. The road passes through the Targhee National Forest.

The area of Idaho west of the pass, through the small towns of Victor, Driggs and Swan Valley, is very pleasant.

The following loop trip from Jackson is highly recommended: over the Teton Pass to Victor, then south to Swan Valley and onto US26 to Alpine and Hoback Junction and finally back into Jackson.

The Teton Pass also forms part of a recommended loop trip from Jackson to Yellowstone National Park. Details can be found on the Yellowstone page of this web site.
