David Thompson Highway, Alberta
Location
The David Thompson Highway (Highway 11) runs for about 110 miles between Saskatchewan River Crossing and the town of Rocky Mountain House.
Saskatchewan River Crossing is roughly half way along the Icefields Parkway, which runs through the heart of the Canadian Rockies between the towns of Banff and Jasper.
Description
While not quite as spectacular as the Icefields Parkway, the David Thompson Highway is still a very scenic route and well worth taking.
