Asheville, North Carolina to Marietta, Ohio - US23, US119 and I-77; Cherokee, Jefferson and Pisgah National Forests
The road from Asheville, North Carolina to Marietta, Ohio is in the main part an excellent divided highway through wooded mountain scenery, making for a very pleasant day's drive through six states. The road goes through and over a great number of extremely impressive cuttings, viaducts and bridges along the way. There are also a few short sections where you have to use two-lane roads, mainly in those places where the new highway is not finished yet.
