The World's Shortest River?

According to some sources the world's shortest river is Oregon's D River. It flows from Devil's Lake into the Pacific Ocean near Lincoln City on the Oregon Coast. It is generally described as being 120 feet (37 metres) long.

According to other sources, the world's shortest river is the Roe River, which flows between Giant Springs and the Missouri River near Great Falls, Montana. It is generally described as being 200 feet long.

Yet other sources claim that the world's shortest river is the Comal River in Texas. This river rises from Comal Springs in Landa Park and joins the Guadalupe River in downtown New Braunfels. It is generally described as being two and a half miles long.

One source attempts to shed some light on the matter by explaining that Oregon's D River and Montana's Roe River have each been measured on different occasions with lengths varying from 58 feet to 200 feet.

I was particularly amused by finding a web site which hedged its bets with the following extremely confused statement: "The world's shortest river, The Roe, is only 120 feet (37 meters) long. It's in Oregon and connects Devil's Lake directly to the Pacific Ocean near Lincoln City." (sic).

By the way, I've absolutely no wish to get involved with this controversy!
