Many larger supermarkets offer hot food to take away, such as fried chicken. While this can often be good value for money, in some cases it has often been left on warming trays for some time and suffers as a result.

A few very large supermarkets have their own in-store cafeterias.

All supermarkets offer a wide choice of items for picnics and snacks.
