Steak and Egg Breakfast Sandwich (two rounds of Texas toast with a filling of strips of steak, egg in omelette style and molten cheese) $2.99 (summer 1997)
Texas Toast Breakfast Sandwich (two rounds of Texas toast with a filling of egg in omelette style, thin slices of roast beef, bacon in UK style and a slice of cheese) $2.19 (summer 1997)
Frisco (two rounds of Texas toast with various choices of filling)
Biscuits with various fillings.
In the summer of 2000 Hardee's range included Italian Frisco Burgers, with garlic flavoured Texas toast instead of burger buns. I can highly recommend these.
Chicken sandwiches (chicken in a bun).
Fried chicken pieces. Hardee's probably offers better value for money than KFC for fried chicken pieces, provided you like their coating which is somewhat harder and crisper than KFC's. Both chains tend to include biscuits (i.e. scones) with fried chicken.
Chicken meal (four pieces of chicken, two biscuits and mashed potato) $3.99 (summer 2000)
Big Roast Beef Sandwich (including free fries) $2.39 (summer 1997)
Salads.
Fries.
Value for money - generally excellent.
Cleanliness - consistently spotless.
Quality and speed of service - consistently excellent. We find that the staff at Hardee's tend to be of a higher standard than at some of the other fast food chains.
A particularly attractive feature of Hardee's is their huge variety of menu options, both for breakfasts and for lunch/dinner.
