This page describes typical restaurants in the chain. Individual locations may differ.
Only a small sample of menu items are listed here.
Unless otherwise stated, prices exclude sales tax and are normal (not special offer) prices.

Throughout the USA.
System
Fast food.
Queue at the counter (sometimes there is one queue, sometimes there are multiple queues).
Place order and make payment.
Wait for food to be prepared and served.
Place your rubbish in the bin provided and leave the tray on top.
Some locations also have drive-throughs.
Breakfasts
I do not know if A & W serve breakfasts in the USA.
Lunch And Dinner
Various sizes and styles of hamburgers and other items.
Senior Discounts
None, as far as I know.
Opinion
The following specifically refers to A & W in the USA. A & W in Canada is a separate company and very different.
Quality of food - variable.
Value for money - moderate.
Cleanliness - generally very poor. Most A & W locations in the USA are very run down and look shoddy both outside and inside. There are some exceptions however.
Quality and speed of service - variable but generally poor.
