US State And Canadian Province Highway Condition Phone Numbers
These are American and Canadian telephone numbers.
This information is from a variety of sources, is not guaranteed to be accurate, and is subject to change.
Some of these numbers can only be used from outside the relevant state. Some of these numbers can only be used from inside the relevant state.
Telephone numbers in brackets are the conversions into digits of the equivalent "number" expressed with letters outside the brackets.
800, 877 and 888 numbers are toll-free when dialled from within the US or Canada.
According to some sources there is a move to introduce 511 as a national number for current road and traffic information across the whole of the USA. I get the impression that this plan is still in a very early stage of being implemented. According to a news story in USA Today 14-Jul-03, Washington State was the sixteenth state to start using 511 as a traffic information telephone number.
