John Cletheroe's
USA and Canada Holiday Hints

Dryden, Ontario

Location

Dryden lies on Highway 17, the Trans-Canada Highway, between Kenora and Thunder Bay.

Description

Dryden is a pleasant if unspectacular town with a good range of facilities, suitable for a lunch-time or overnight stop.

We far preferred Dryden to Kenora. We found Kenora congested and unpleasant, with little or no accommodation at a reasonable price. However, Kenora does have the advantage of being much closer to Lake Of The Woods and Manitoba's Whiteshell Provincial Park.
