Other Information

Many thanks to Eric Deegan who sent me the following description of Nova Scotia:
The area was first settled by the French in 1605 as Acadia and changed hands several times between the French and the English until it was finally ceded to Britain in 1713. Nova Scotia became a Province of Canada in 1867.
Nova Scotia is known as Canada's best kept secret. It has very warm people who try to live a peaceful life. It also has a strong attachment to the Christian faith, with percentages of people attending church being the highest in the country.
Places to visit include Peggy's Cove, Digby (lobsters), Cabot Trail (Cape Breton), Wolfville (Acadia University) and Mahone Bay, with several other places to visit within the Halifax region.
Sports include football, hockey, basketball, soccer, volleyball and rugby. Nova Scotia is known as a very athletic region.
