Location

Southeastern new Mexico, at the junction of US285 and US62/180.

Description

Carlsbad is a medium sized town with the usual range of motels and restaurants and is recommended. However, you may also wish to consider Roswell as an alternative.

In the Area

Carlsbad Caverns National Park
Guadalupe Mountains National Park, Texas
Sitting Bull Falls, on New Mexico State Highway 137, is reported as being worth a visit although we haven't been there ourselves. It is a National Forest area with a day-use fee of $5 per vehicle.
