Mammoth Cave National Park, Kentucky

Location

Mammoth Cave National Park is located in central Kentucky, northeast of the town of Bowling Green. To reach the park, take the Kentucky State Highway 70 exit from I-65 (exit 53).

What to See and Do

Mammoth Cave consists of a series of caverns and passages on five levels. There are nearly 350 miles of charted passageways, making it the largest known cave system in the world. As with most other cave system, only a small part is open to the public.

Various fascinating ranger-led cave tours are available.
