Percentage Forestation of Each American State and Canadian Province

Introduction

This page lists the percentage land area of each American state and Canadian province which is forested. This includes all forested areas: commercial timberland, non-commercial forested areas, privately owned forests, National Forests, State Forests and forested areas of any other public lands such as those administered by the National Park Service, the Bureau of Land Management, the Fish and Wildlife Service and similar agencies in both countries.

All figures are approximate.
