Mexican food restaurant chain. This chain started in 1992 and currently (Mar-03) has about 55 locations, mostly in Washington State and Oregon. They plan to open a further 25 stores during 2003 and intend to expand into most western states. The prices listed on their web site seem rather high for fast food, so perhaps they are waitress service or some other factor applies. Verified Mar-03.

Given the name of a hiking trail in the USA, this site will help you to locate it. However, for the examples I tried it didn't offer any additional information about the trails, which was disappointing. Perhaps this information is still in the process of being loaded. Verified Jan-03.
In the past Trailways was a long distance bus line, or more accurately an association of long distance bus lines. The information on their web site is far from clear, but it appears that the scale of their operation has reduced drastically in recent years and is perhaps now restricted to charters and tours with no scheduled services. When I visited this web site in August 1999 I could not find any information about schedules, timetables or fares. Nor could I find any links to web sites of members of the Trailways association where such information might be found. As far as I can discover the name "Continental Trailways" referred to one previous member of the Trailways association and no longer exists. Verified Aug-99.

A collection of travelogues which have been published on the Travel-L mailing list, plus links to some members' sites. Covers all parts of the world. Verified Sep-97.
Travel-L is a conferencing/discussion EMail mailing list. Members of a conferencing/discussion mailing list automatically receive (by EMail) all the messages which any members post to the list. Messages on this particular list tend to be mainly questions and answers relating to travel and tourism.
At the moment the Travel-L list exists on two servers, one at a university in Utah and the other at Ege University in Turkey. Until it is decided which server the list will end up on, I suggest you subscribe to both and accept that most messages will be duplicated.
To subscribe to the Utah server version of Travel-L (free of charge) send an EMail message as follows:
Address: travel-l-request@lists.utah.edu (the single character between the dashes is a lower case letter el)
Subject: subscribe
Body: (leave blank)
To subscribe to the Ege, Turkey server version of Travel-L (free of charge) send an EMail message as follows:
Address: ListServ@VM.ege.edu.tr
Subject: (leave blank)
Body: SUBSCRIBE TRAVEL-L firstname lastname
Once you have subscribed and your EMail address has been verified (a completely automatic process which takes a day or two), you can then send messages to the list which will be automatically sent to all its members. If you are new to the idea of conferencing/discussion mailing lists then it is wise to receive messages for a couple of weeks before starting to post your own messages, so as to understand the way the system works and its unwritten rules of etiquette.
The address for posting messages to the Utah server version of this list is travel-l@lists.utah.edu (the single character after the dash is a lower case letter el).
The address for posting messages to the Ege, Turkey server version is TRAVEL-L@VM.EGE.EDU.TR.
You should not send test messages to any mailing list.
