First Night Accommodation Near Some US Airports - Introduction

The motels listed in this section, all of which we have used ourselves, are located in pleasant areas within a reasonable drive from each city's international airport and therefore recommended for first night stops. There are of course numerous other possibilities and these are only suggestions.

We usually like to head out of the airport city as rapidly as possible on the morning after the flight so these motels tend to be on the outskirts or some distance from each city. Therefore these motels would not in general be convenient bases for visiting the cities themselves.

Motel rates are provided for general guidance purposes only and have been taken from motel chain directories. Current rates may be higher. Rates at weekends and during holidays and special events may be higher. Rates are in US Dollars and exclude taxes.
