Visitor Areas
On the northern (Washington State) side of the river there are two areas to visit, reached on foot from the same parking area. There is a self-guiding tour of part of the dam, with at one point an excellent view of one of the generator plants from a gallery high above. There is also a separate building from which the fish making their way through the fish ladder can be seen. The visitor facilities are lavish and impressive. No entrance fee.
On the southern (Oregon) side of the river there are two separate visitor areas each with their own parking area. The Navigation Lock Visitor Area provides views of the lock. The Bradford Island Visitor Centre provides exhibits and views of the surrounding area. There is a short walk from the Bradford Island Visitor Centre to a viewing area inside one of the generator plants. As far as I know there is no entrance fee.
Dam Tours
