Camping Cabins in the USA and Canada
We have never used camping cabins in the USA and Canada, so the information on this page is not from firsthand experience.
Some commercial campsites in the USA and Canada, including many in the KOA (Kampgrounds of America) chain, have camping cabins available.
While at first site these seem an attractive option for visitors from overseas on a fly/drive holiday, there are some practical drawbacks:
- You need to provide your own bed linen or sleeping bags. Carrying such items when travelling by plane is probably not feasible.
- It is highly likely that no towels are provided.
- You would need to consider eating arrangements. Some campsites are near towns and some have small restaurants, but otherwise this could be a problem.
