Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport, Minnesota (MSP)
When we last used this airport international arrivals used a special International terminal but it appears that they might now use a special set of gates in the main terminal.
A free underground transit system links the terminals. The doors to the transit resemble large lift doors.
A free shuttle bus conveys passengers from the main terminal building to the multi-storey rental car parking lot.
This airport is located close to the Minneapolis-St Paul ring road, making access by road very straightforward. Traffic on the ring road is normally quite light.
This airport has a good selection of fast food restaurants located in the terminal buildings, charging normal US prices, something which is probably unique.
The nearby Mall of America is worth a visit, if only to pass some time before checking in for your return flight.
Security
In my experience receipts for suitcases are never checked when leaving the baggage return area, allowing any passenger to easily take anyone else's property by accident or on purpose.
