Location

Hinton is about forty-five miles northeast of Jasper, on Highway 16, the Yellowhead Highway.

Description

Hinton is a small town of two halves. The eastern part of the town, at the bottom of the hill, is largely industrial and uninviting. The western part of the town, at the top of the hill, has a range of motels and restaurants and is much more pleasant and is recommended.
