TRS2004 Scenario Creation Tutorial - Part Seven: Choice Of Text Editor Program

GameScript/TrainzScript scenario creation requires the use of a text editor program. If you already have a favourite choice of such a program, there is almost certainly no need to change.

It is not possible to use a word processing program such as Microsoft Word or Wordpad.

The Notepad program supplied with Windows can be used but it is rather primitive and somewhat lacking in functionality. Any of the numerous superior alternatives such as EditPad can be used instead if you wish.

Some people may prefer to use an enhanced text editor program designed specifically for editing program source code, such as TextPad. If you are not familiar with these programs then you may wish to explore each of the options.
